1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “your”) and Lumen Earth (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the Lumen Earth website, mobile application, and related services (together, the “Services”).

By accessing, downloading, or using our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any other documents expressly referred to in them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Services.

2. Eligibility & Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use our Services. By creating an account or using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian review these Terms with you.

3. Respectful Behaviour

You agree to:

Not post, share, or store any content that is defamatory, obscene, harmful, or otherwise objectionable.

We may, at our sole discretion and without notice, remove content or suspend/terminate accounts that breach this clause.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

All activities carried out under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

5. User Content & Data

“User Content” means any data, text, images, entries, or other materials that you upload, submit, or store through our Services, including journal entries, prompts, and notes.

User Content remains your property. However, by submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable licence to store, reproduce, modify, adapt, and otherwise use such content solely as necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services.

This includes actions such as securely backing up your data, reformatting it for compatibility, or transferring it to a secure third-party database or hosting provider.

We will never sell, publish, or share your private journal entries or other personal User Content with any third party without your explicit consent.

We delete accounts and all associated User Content after 1 year of inactivity, in line with our Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not infringe any laws, regulations, or third-party rights.

No Sale of Personal Data

Any sharing of your data with third parties (such as service providers, payment processors, or analytics tools) is solely for the purposes of operating, maintaining, and improving the Services, and is always carried out in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

We will never monetise your personal data through sale, rental, or other commercial exchange beyond what is necessary to provide our Services.

7.2 Shadow Work and Emotional Wellbeing

Our Services include shadow work exercises and other self-reflection activities that may address emotional or personal development topics. These activities are for general self-exploration and personal growth purposes only.

They are not a substitute for professional mental health diagnosis, advice, or treatment. If you have concerns about your mental health or wellbeing, seek support from a qualified healthcare provider.

You undertake any such activities at your own discretion and risk. We are not liable for any emotional distress or outcomes arising from their use.

7.3 Awaken Section Disclaimer

The “Awaken” section includes spiritual, metaphysical, and personal development content, such as information on crystals, sacred geometry, angel numbers, chakras, manifestation techniques, synchronicity tracking, and divination tools (including tarot, oracle, and rune card pulls).

This content is provided for entertainment, inspiration, and general personal reflection purposes only. It does not represent scientific fact, and no guarantee is made as to the accuracy, interpretation, or results of using any such content or tools.

You acknowledge and agree that:

Any use of spiritual or metaphysical content is entirely at your own discretion and risk.

Outcomes, insights, or predictions from such tools or practices are subjective and may vary.

We are not responsible for any actions you take or decisions you make based on this content.

While we strive to ensure our content is accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee its completeness, reliability, or suitability for any particular purpose.

8. Orders, Payments & Delivery

Orders

By placing an order through our app, you are making an offer to purchase products subject to these Terms. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of payment.

Pricing & Payment

Prices are shown in GBP unless stated otherwise. Payment must be made in full at the time of order. All payments are processed securely via third-party payment providers — we do not store your payment details.

Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within estimated timeframes but delivery times are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services or events beyond our reasonable control.

Once dispatched, risk in the products passes to you. You are responsible for providing a correct delivery address. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, we will work with the courier to resolve the issue but cannot guarantee replacement or refund unless required by law.

Stock & Availability

We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order if a product is unavailable, incorrectly priced, or otherwise cannot be fulfilled.

Energy Exchange

We offer our app and its features free of charge. While we welcome and appreciate purchases from our shop as a way to support our work, buying from the shop is entirely optional and not a condition of using the app or its features.

9. Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

Physical goods may be returned within 14 days in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, unless an exception applies. Digital content and services are non-refundable once accessed, unless faulty.

10. Intellectual Property

All site and app design, branding, code, and original content are owned by Lumen Earth or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them without permission.

User Content remains your property (see Section 5).

11. Limitation of Liability

Our content is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional advice, including but not limited to medical, mental health, or legal advice.

We make no guarantees that the Services will meet your expectations or achieve any particular result.

We are not liable for:

Our Services may link to or integrate with third-party tools, content, or websites (e.g., Adalo, Squarespace, Mailchimp, YouTube). We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of these third parties.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Services and may suspend or withdraw all or part of them for business or operational reasons without liability.

We may add, modify, limit, or remove features of the app at our discretion, including free features, without liability. Your continued use of the Services following any such changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lumen Earth, its staff, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services or breach of these Terms.

We aim to provide a high standard of service. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our Services or products, please contact us at info@lumenearth.co.uk with details of your complaint.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to respond fully within 30 days.

16. Force Majeure

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay is caused by an event outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, lockouts, industrial disputes, natural disasters, pandemics, failure of telecommunications networks, or the default of suppliers or subcontractors.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the Services and supersede any prior agreements, understandings, or arrangements.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
